Time (start & end time): 8AM meet at Dillard’s in Park Central Mall for caravaning or possible carpooling to Cripple Creek.

10AM meet at Cripple Creek Heritage Center, and ends at 5:00PM at the SSR Open Pit Mine Viewing location.

OVERVIEW: 2026 Cripple Creek and Victor Field Trip

ITINERARY: 2026 CC & V Itinerary

Description of the day:
We will start at the Cripple Creek Heritage Center on Colorado Highway 67 South of the town of Divide, West on US 24 from Colorado Springs. This weekend is Victor Heritage Days, and we hope to participate in some building tours and enjoy the numerous street vendors.

Accessibility:
We will be driving to all places, and walking at each location. All paths are well defined and gravel or blacktop. The ground is not level, but also not much of incline where we are going. Sidewalks are old and not level in many spots. Restrooms are available in all locations other than the Vindicator and Mine Overlook.

Items to Bring:
Bring your own lunch and plenty of water, and sunscreen. We will be walking on blacktop or gravel all day, so have sturdy and comfortable shoes.
